Takara Tomy Seekers: Elites RAMJET DIRGE THRUST Transformers Set

Here is the Elites set of Seekers released as an Asia Exclusive. Of course these are done up in excellent paint deco and not official releases of the US. Very pricey but probably a cost effective alternative to buying these seekers individually. The payoff is arguably the best looking version and most definitely the best painted versions of these figures.

Takara MP-12T Tigertrack

I'm a fan of this great Masterpiece mold and I've had my preorder since the first day it went up. The suspense is killing me to find out what it looks like in yellow, so I just 'shopped it for the hell of it. I'm not sure what other paint apps it will have but this gives a good idea as to what the end result will be like.

Fansproject is on a roll. I just got the wonderful Function X-1 Code (Not-Chromedome) and now they hit us with this picture.

Review updates 2/2/13

I have my poor little blog neglected, I'm just so busy with stuff lately. Still waiting on MP-13 Soundwave. The worst part is that it is 10 minutes away from me at a local post office where it wont be delivered to me for 2 days :(

I also have the Mazinger Z DX Chogokin on its way soon along with some miscellaneous transformers and what-not.

If you have been following my youtube channel for a while, you will notice a few changes. New graphics, new music, a ton more gokin reviews and a return of the diecast glowing gimmick albeit not as fancy as before but its back for the most part. I even have an excellent artist working on a new robot design for my graphics based on the guitar playing robot I use in my videos. I am tempted to show it in progress but I will wait until its done.

I've been mostly busy with reviews on RPA, but I have been throwing down some new stuff on CDX. I just recently did the Yamato Metal Boy Gokin Black Getter which has some cool pictures.

I also did a full video on my channel.

I am currently working on the Dark Energon BBTS Exclusive Voyager Megatron and Optimus. By the time you read this, the videos should be up on CDX.

In about a week or two, I should be receiving the two sets of Asia Exclusive Seekers. Really looking forward to those.

Dark Energon Optimus Prime and Megatron Voyager BBTS Exclusives

I recently received these figures in for review on CollectionDX from BBTS. I have to say these are actually really nice. I am really digging this translucent plastic. I used to not like translucent redecos but Ithey have been growing on me lately. The figures are basically RID Prime voyager figures done in Dark Energon colors. The Autobots got infected by Dark Energon merely by combating the Decepticons which are full of Dark Energon. I think its a cool redo of the figures. Other deluxe Prime figures are available.

iGear Animated Head for MP-01/04 Masterpiece Convoy Optimus Prime

I can't get enough good third party stuff lately. There was a piece I had been putting off buying for no good reason. That would be the animated head for the Masterpiece MP-01 from iGear. I think it made a big difference in the look of my Prime... for the better. $18 shipped from iGear

CHMS KO SUNSTREAKER / TIGERTRACK with shoulder cannon

I had never heard of this KO until I plain just saw it on clearance for $13. Great price, but is it a great figure? I would have to say YES. I was pleasantly surprised at its quality for a KO. Some things weren't perfect like how the engine would not clip to Sunstreaker's back. A little filing took care of that. I recently decided to convert this KO into a Tigertrack figure which was easily done with a Sideswipe head I had laying around and the already existing shoulder cannon which is another ill-fitting piece. It pegs in but quickly pops out of the shoulder. In the end, still worth what I paid. Makes a great stand in for a legit Sunstreaker. Videos below.
